by: G3 & VVV

Many readers of this zine/mag will have at some point, toked and wanted to eliminate the smell. Under controlled conditions* it is easy to cover them. Weed smells from minimum toke conditions seem to work best (such as a small pipe or one hitter) and is recommended. These tips apply best for apartment and house dwellers, and in indoor spots.

(*Configuring these takes some patient stoner observations and a little time.)

X. Use a one hitter.
One hitters can optimize your toke especially with high grade flower. In replacement you can also use small to smallest pipes.

Load in smaller, manageable amounts. Delay the exhale as much as you can and exhale out to a safe exit space*, sploof, or a safe, wide open space. A good exhaust fan that leads to a safe space is also a best option.

The least smoke, the better. If the smoke cannot be exhaled, keep it in until you can, go down, and exhale downward. You also might want to try those smoke odor remover fans for sale online. They are portable and effective.

X. Have food ready.
Cooking, eating, and toking go hand in hand to cover weed smell. Cooking can cover small to subtle weed smells as you toke. Remember to take smaller, manageable tokes, keep longest, and exhale the least you could along with cooking smoke.

Eating right after toking also covers smells a lot. Oily, heavy sauced, tasty, and strong-smelling food or those just cooked have the best covert smells. After 10 to 20 minutes, you will no longer have weed breath. Spicy chips, chocolate, beers, fish, and meaty foods also help a lot.

For those who smoked joints and bonghits, you also need to follow the next 2 steps. You also need at least 30 minutes or more after eating to reduce the smell, preferably in front of a fan.

X. Have a fresh shirt ready.
Smoking J’s, bongs, blunts, and long-burning toking formats are the best way to smoke it, NGL. It also major skunkifies your smell with the lingering burnt oils, thick smoke, and resin scent.

You need to cloak up, wash, freshen up, and have a fresh shirt handy. If ever you’re going to a HEAVY smokeout, be safe and ready.

X. Wash hands & mouth.
At minimum, wash your hands and mouth. A splash of alcohol will help if available. The old long gargle with water and at least 30 mins can maximize the fade out of the odors. Much better if you have some strong listerine, plus time for the weed breathe to fade.

X. * Choose the best time and spot.

The perfect time to smoke requires observation. The right spot must have an exhaust, no people in it, and is safe. Smoke must be able to escape and/or not linger. Your house will have all these features at the right time. Pay attention, adjust, and always make sure it’s safe and not public.
