Create your own App! Even if you don’t know how

by: COMMANDER ENTERPRISE

There are countless apps and game apps for your phones that make different functions possible… They come from a combination of good ideas and solutions that work.

Maybe you have a somewhat original idea that you know is good enough to be an app. How do you do it? What do we need to sort it out?

Even for the most clueless noob, it is still possible to make your ideas into (digital) reality, even possibly make money off it.

Reminders for starting

Your idea must provide functions or solutions. They can be for a big audience or a smaller but dedicated market. Do important research on your type of app and how it would, and how the layout, design, and UI work.

You can also choose the platform to build it, which applies to either for those with coding skills or no-code platforms. Once done and tested, comes the heavy work to distribute and market it.

It’s easier than you think
There are a few ways to go about this. There are ready made complete tutorials available for a small price that will show you how, step by step.

Top app-making platforms are Appery.io, Mobile Roadie, The Appbuilder, Good Barber, Appy Pie, Appmachine, Game Salad, Bizness Apps, AppMakr and Shoutem, with corresponding prices from $16.00 a month to full developer plans for businesses at $1299.00 (!) for a one-time payment.

Fot those with nonpro tech skills and even less financial resources, you can also download (mostly) free programs that help you get cracking on your app, such as Apple’s XCode program, which is a user-friendly program for Mac that can start you up in a few minutes creating a basic app, or at appsmakerstore.com to create your own account and start by going on a step by step process on the site.

Free download programs such as XCode help you get started with the basic graphics and icon and set up a storyboard. From there, you create screens that would hold content. The content can be anything from text to game graphics or animation and a combination of these different elements.

These can be customised for each page and then linked to another screen. You can start with texts and small graphics as you practice and progress with your skill, and then link each page you will be using. A simulator mode will help you imagine how the app you created will work on an iPhone and the actions that will happen as a preview.

These programs give you a chance for step-by-step creation with a do-it-yourself feel to help you learn through practice and self-exploration.

Wise Advice

As for the lucrative nature of apps, tutorial site appdevempire.com advises that Google Play and Android apps, for the most part, actually hold a huge market with a large share of phones and tablets with mostly open source apps, compared to iPhone apps. You can create for both, but still, take note.
