Weed; Marijuana; Medical Cannabis are / is one of the most searched items on Google. Among high ranked: “cannabidiol (+80%), legality of cannabis (+40%), elon musk weed (+3,300%), elon musk smoking weed (+2,300%), NJ legal weed (+400%)” and other SEO word combos.
There are countries almost every month legalising it. Not only recreational but importantly, medical use. Recently was Canada, South Korea, Thailand; New Jersey is the latest state in the US, among other new states.
On TV, it has always been there. Not just single episodes, on others it’s the main feature. If you don’t have Netflix, you can also play Sleep – Dopesmoker in the background while watching the Animal Planet channel on mute.
Super High Me – Doug Benson, pro green activist and well known standup comedian, takes on a challenge of great (420) proportions; He takes 30 days off from his regular weed intake, then 30 days of nonstop smoking. It is the stoner version of the kvlt movie Supersize Me. Instead of McDees, the participant indulges in the green (yeah lots of it).
This is the documentation of those 60 days and really funny and strange trip as he tours USA on his then current comedy tour with other comedians and his friends in the comedy circuit. The gratuitous smokage footage will run this an R-18 rating on Netflix. But this is golden stoner TV fun.
Weeds – considered as the first OG pro weed series on TV from 2005 to 2012. Respect. Hot Mom Mary-Louise Parker sells prime bud around her rich neighbors after her husband dies. It becomes bigger, and also more complicated. The show also features a lot of different early 2000’s music in the opening and closing themes, and also has four popular soundtrack albums from the show. Plus some cool guests and cameos.
Snoop Dogg – being baked will of course lead you to Snoop. Netflix has Reincarnated, his initiation in Jamaica as a Rastafarian, which of course involves religious observance of smoking huge amounts of (and different types of) ganja. It is the only religion legally allowed to. There’s also Mac and Devin with Whiz Khalifa (another heavy smoker hehe), and his other hobby, as basketball coach in Coach Snoop.
His all-star totally baked kvlt film with Dr. Dre, The Wash, used to be on Netflix rotation too. It’s uh, HIGHly recommended.
Cooking on High – cannabis is also for eating. There is a huge lucrative market for all types of edibles cooked with cannabis, and not only for healing and bad diseases. Netflix launched “Cooking on HIGH” as the “first ever competitive cannabis cooking show”. Not only must it get you baked, but it also should taste great. This will also give you the total munchies.
Beavis and Butthead Do America – You have Netflix, with hundreds other greater (?) choices to choose from, and you pick a really boneheaded numbskull direct hit of a classic stoner movie. There’s no accounting for taste, but Beavis and Butthead was the OG pioneer among other 90’s MTV cartoons and shows. Their first movie brings the big guns (and guest stars) as a weird strange trip to find their missing beloved TV.
