Gaming can take its toll on the most hardened and most durable of players, both those not online and those duking it out online, on their computers, gaming consoles, and even on their smartphones or tablets. It requires full mental and physical demands, and the amount of hard work, concentration, and sheer mental effort to win, destroy, and conquer demands appropriate nutrition. It’s something that has been largely overlooked by many, and an important and crucial element for all those intense personal strategies to be fully effective in the 3D (and 2D) realms that exist beyond many PC screens gaming screens.

There are certain nutritional requirements that gamers need, aside from super reliable high-speed broadband and steady electricity maybe. They are very specific and aim to power up hands, fingers, heads, and minds to ensure victory or death in the digital realms. The stakes are higher this time, and it is imperative to know what is good for our gamers out there.
Here are some important food “groups” to achieve single handed victory, for it is our destiny. They sure do hell sound like premium items that gamers badly need in games.

Instant Sugar Rush – the equivalent of a bright and sharp rush just like a premium or bonus item while playing, instant sugar rush items are cheap and widely available to keep gamers up and upbeat while giving feelings of rainbow-coloured joy and gusto especially when firing off weapons and missiles and bombs at innumerable foes and blowing up things for fun or for victory.
Gummi Bears, Chocolates, candies, M&M’s, Skittles, and their sweet ilk are the most in demand for a raging time. Preferably set to rock and/or metal tunes, or any high-action upbeat music or soundtracks to heighten the excitement and trigger-happy destroying spree, if the gamer wishes so.
And if the rush wears off or isn’t good enough to lively up many blokes’ games and action, there’s the next level, up next…

Caffeine Fix(es) – Iced Coffee, Coke and Pepsi, sugar free sodas, Black Coffee and unprocessed brown sugar, and well, even those Starbucks anomalies and monstrosities that instantly slap you left-and-right-awake with their powerful caffeinated properties, plus the sugar on top of it. This is absolutely imperative in keeping gamers on the go and up for all-nighter games online, or maybe just straight playing or competitive playing for one, two, three, or more for the ultimate in endurance, perseverance, and also game-winning-ance, as the gamer’s unholy fuel raises power bar statuses everywhere for that extra mile, extra oomph.
However, beware of the crash once caffeine (and sugar) wears off and energy systems become depleted. This won’t happen if gamers actually had some real grub for full support, such as those with carbs…

One handed Carbs – known for their extra convenience and one-handed nature, these types of carbs make an excellent snack or meal for gamers who can’t be bothered with eating with two hands. A firm steady grip on the main controls must always be present, so for this, carbs (and other good stuff) that can be quickly devoured with just one hand are welcome: sandwiches, pizzas, hotdogs, donuts, pastries, breads, burgers, fries, and chips are the usual fare, plus those that can be eaten quickly either in a cup, or with a fork, spork or spoon, such as riceboxes, noodles, or pasta.

In case of a sudden need to move or take action, the main hand is reserved but ready, followed by the other that can easily adjust and jump in immediately.

Instant Goodness – These premium items can be had in the nick of time, most of the time using a microwave unless the Acme company actually starts selling those just-add-water capsules that transform into food in the real world (a real game-changer if those things existed). Instant microwaveable goodies that can be ready in less than five to ten minutes to prevent gamers from ever leaving their PCs or consoles or at least their comfy spots or at their homes while still having a full meal in the midst of a campaign, mission or maybe an upcoming boss stage.

That instant burrito, instant ramen, those microwaveable dinners, instant mac and cheese, or White Castle burgers (among many others) are just calling out gamer’s names and stomachs for a quick fix.

“Gourmet” Desktop Dining – The last two types of nutritional items may already be good enough to go for some, but nothing beats real home-cooked food (or at least “real” food) to power up gamers preferably before logging in and marching to the fantastical gaming realm to exit reality and real life for a while.

While Mom’s cooking may be the best, other options include delivery, personal home cooking (for those who already have that achievement unlocked) or personally going to a real food place before or after a game, as in an actual sit-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, or heavy meal (times and schedules exchangeable) at a good restaurant or on actual desktop, depending on how serious the game is. Take home packages are welcome for the next in-game energy refill.
This is the best and most preferred type of nutrition for optimal performance, strategy, reflexes, hand-eye coordination and total focus and concentration. And of course mad skills, attitude, and total boss-level playing and knowledge of the game. However, the other options will still do the job, ranked in the order of efficiency and benefit. All gamers, take heed.
